WENT AND SAW HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE WITH SIERA.
Umm, yeah. NO SPOILERS BUT, boy was that not like the book..? Most of it was alright, as far as HP goes I guess it's pretty standard.
Notes; Tom Felton looks pretty sharp in a suit and, unfortunately, Rupert Grint is still the only one who can act :/ but I like him, he's alright. I'm not sure what else I want to say about it except AWWWWW LUNAAAAAAA and WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. Fuck I am hanging out for that to be released.
And now I am off to work. Fuckers, they tried to call me during Harry too.
EDIT; OH HEY, MAYBE THERE IS SOME SPOILERS IN THE COMMENTS. MAYBE A BIT.

I'd like to take a moment to talk about these wigs I just got from Dollmore.
( and here I allow myself to an allowance )
And for everyone who didn't want to read that, have a picture of my new favourite antagonism.

My neighbours second bedroom. [Blury because I had it on zoom] She actually went and closed her blinds once because she saw us on the balcony, right after we smiled and said hello to her. Well you know what, I HAVE A PHOTO OF YOUR ROOM NOW, ASSHOLE, YOUR BLINDS CANT SAVE YOU. ALL OF THE THE INTERNET CAN SEE INTO YOUR FRONT ROOM, NOT JUST ME. QUIT BEING A SECRETIVE BITCH. Because I am just that childish, sure. You can see me in the reflection there, taking the shot. And golly gee, do I feel better for it.

Normally I wouldn't prop The Man like this. But if you are in the Melbourne//Australia area, and in the event you are near a Coles supermarket in the next few weeks; go in and, even if you don't buy anything, pick up their Winter Coles Magazine. Yes, most of it is bogan mothers wanking on about their kids or some shit; Yes, it is about 94% advertisement, but hey. It's free and the recipies are pretty good. They are also simple, cheap, mostly fast to make and they come up nicely. It's all about seasonal vegetables down at the old Coles shed lately, and kids should know that good hearty eating in the winter time could be a key enemy of the swine flu. You never know, it's not a proven theory, you will probably have to try it out.

On the topic of Soom's monthly doll for the month of May; Chrom BANE OF WOOD//LORD OF FIRE:
Can't look at the photo-shopped-to-shit picture 'cause it's fallen off the Soom site. I think kids have been hotlinking and breaking the server or some such. So, judging from the bottom product picture;
I like the Chrom Fire Lord head more than the normal head..?
The faces look dissimilar; I think the eyes are set different and the fire lord head has a nicer nose.
Mostly I am upset that I can't read his story, I hate that they write it on the pictures.
p.s. I am going to be so much saddened if people get their Cuprits before I get my Glot; the shipping schedual is practically the same.

I dreamt I got my Glot. I think my brother dragged it up the stairs to my house, I said he was being too rough with the box, he said it was fine cause it was a smaller box in a big box. When I opened the bigger shipping box there was a smaller box inside. I opend that box and there was my Glot. Only it was terrible. The head was white, the body normal. they had just thrown it into the box with some other stuff. Not the eyes or wig I had ordered. And it was nasty; an ugly doll. Like a Puki had been enlarged and then mismatched together. It had none of it's dainty or it's charm. But then I didn't care. I didn't like the doll but I was more affected by the way it had been shipped. I think part of me wanted to try and do something with it, but I didn't have the will for it. Mostly I don't think I cared because I was then more preoccupied with stealing a red rented vespa that turned into a red push bike that the neighbours had booked that I then re-booked and hid in someones driveway because I thought it was a bit of fun. Mostly though, the doll was entirely a disappointment. Like I had been sent the most reject doll on the face of the planet. And I had paid for it. But because I had waited so long for it I was over it by the time it had gotten here.

My Generation -- The Who |

Y'know, after my long-winded and probably aforementioned here debarcle with the local Blockbuster, I decided that it was time to move on from them.
Enter Video!FLASH, probably the most excellent independent video store I have ever encountered. It is a couple of blocks further away, but holy shit are they worth it. And to prove this point, after giving me a card [yes, card! Fucking Blockbuster wouldn't give me a card D<] the owner gave me a tour of the store and explained the whole borrowing system. Now is that awesome or is that awesome?
So, anyway, see yesterday where I decided to return the dvds I borrowed Early and maybe see what else was going on in there, I think I had something in mind, but I never got it, but that doesn't matter. SO YESTERDAY we go in and I am looking around the video section [where you can either rent or buy a video for $3, sweet, right?] when I turned around to see WATERWORLD JUST SITTING THERE, LOOKING AT ME. So I bought it.
Now bitches are always ripping on WATERWORLD. No one likes it, everyone wants to have a go at it. But do you know what? I FUCKING LIKE WATERWORLD. I'll admit it leaves you with about a thousand questions and what the fucks, but I like it. It's fun, it's got explosions, the main character reacts appropriately, you get a few laughs and the right ammount of people die. I ESPECIALLY LIKE how after a hundred years of ocean-living, the bad guys still have a tousand cartons of cigarettes, and that they end up in New Zealand. My only complaint, is that maybe it goes for a little too long. After two hours you're starting to feel it drag a little, but then the ending leaves you with such a WHAT? WAS THAT IT? WHY DOESN'T HE JUST- WHAT A STUPID MAN, JESUS CHRIST. But I like that about it. Not your classic Hollywood ending.
So this is the post, to proclaim to the internet that
I LIKE WATERWORLD THE MOVIE
and I don't know why everyone has something against it, but I also don't care. The world needs more fantastical action movies; the 90's has only left us so many.

Open Fire -- Silverchair |

Hello lovely everybody,
So tonight, in a not-so-brash move, I've culled most of Vivica's wardrobe, nothing anyone has given//made me of course, but most of what I have made her is on it's way out.
The short of it is, today trying to find a wig for Aeryn I went though about 4 boxes of clothing when really, they don't wear that much of it. It just seems a bit unneccessary and Vivica is fickle. As it turns out she has a lot of items of clothing I've made for a special occasions and as such she has only worn once. So I am getting rid of most of her first and second year stuff.
( the long of it )
So I'm keeping her basics; the green dress, seams dress, butterfly dress and white dress, but I think the rest need to move on. [Mon, this means I'll be passing on her leopardprint skirt to Aleana, by the by]
So, for free or maybe the cost of postage depending on where you are, is a whole bunch of Vivica's wardrobe. There are skirts and shirts, a couple of dresses, a weird kind of capelette I once made.. It's all Vivica-like stuff though, so it's a bit lop-sided in parts, because a lot of it is first round stuff it's not that well made, most of it is a bit awkward and//or stylized; but hey, it's free.
For reference she's a Peakswoods Segi and everything was made to fit her, so it'll all be too small for a fatty Volks girl and she's a small bust so a lot of it probably won't fit really big busted ladies, but y'know, if you wanna take a chance, take the chance.

Paula from my Supermarket job is going to Korea in May. The free part, not the guns and barricades part. I did not anticipate it would be as hard as it is not to ask about anything doll related she might see or keep an eye out for while she is over there. So instead we talk about cute stationary and exchange rates and those kinds of things and I'm wondering if it's a bit strange for me to know so much about Korea from a doesnt-have-a-doll-hobby-or-any-other-kind-of-legitimate-vested-interest-in-Korea perspective :/
I might just die a little if she comes back and says anything along the lines of 'I saw these crazy-amazing dolls in Korea!'//'LOOK AT THESE PHOTOS!' DDD;
But also, for anyone who was not quite informed and or did not guess, I did infact purchase one of those little Soom freak!babies. It has one payment to go which I might just throw in early so I do not have it sitting on my back screaming at me for money. MOST REGRETTED DOLL PURCHASE EVER. I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY AT THE TIME, I SHOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT IT. I HAVE NO EXCUSE.
or, I could blame Kate.
It's one of those kind of lunacy purchase moments. YOU NEED TO BE REALISTIC WITH ME KATE, NOT TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR. THATS HOW MISTAKES GET MADE; AND WHY RACHEL NEVER ACTUALLY STICKS TO HER DIETS.

Excellent Choice -- The Horrors |

I swear to god, all I want for christmas is for someone to make a Vince Noir to take on this Black Frost; http://dollsoom.com/shop/step1.php?number=3372
and maybe do a couple of photo stories with one or two musical numbers thrown in.
Because then I could die happy, I really really could.
Edit: Holy shit, I just read that Ledgend of the Doll story Soom have going on and it makes me EVEN MORE SO want to write retarded not quite coherent doll background stories for doll companies. I COULD DO IT KOREA, I COULD BE GOOD AT IT I SWEAR. But the story makes enough sense for me to get what is going on. You got a world split into 4 layers, in these layers you have 6 elements and then human life. And all of the zodiac dolls fall into a catergory as will all of the monthly dolls to come. Which, I kind of have to admit, is disappointing for me. I had though that Soom was going to go on a kind of apocolyptic Dante's Inferno trip and we were going to get a set of hell fire creatures and then they'd find a new theme. But they're really just expanding on the last theme, or rather blending the zodiac theme into the new theme of elemental dolls of divine intervention. Which isn't a bad thing, no. But I had kind of hoped they'd just keep doing new//different things.
After all is said and done though, quite secretly, I am hoping they come out with a badger doll. Y'know, for the earth element. Because that would rock the fucking house.

Kind of want that miniture beryl//glot creature. Not as a animorphic goat-child, more as a dissolusioned little french girl. She has that kind of face, I think, of a sophsticated child who knows that something is not quite right.
Though clearly, if you guys were my true friends, you would have all placed bets on me to see how long I would last and or if I would actually buy a doll this year or not. Which leaves me in the prediciment of;
YOU GUYS LIKE ME ENOUGH TO BUY ME A DOLL FOR MY BIRTHDAY, RIGHT?
Though, realistically, I don't think I need it. She is cute and all but it'd just fuck with what I have already.

Everyone has a character they feel connected to, whether it be in a book, movie, show or video game. But how do others perceive you? Have your f-list tell you a character they see you as, and maybe even explain why.

Also, thanks to you guys for coming to my thing the other night. And Celestine for making me lunch today. And Monmy, it's all good, I sent you a copy of the zine today, you'll get it before you go; thanks for the email <3
More importantly though, thank you to Kate, eternally, for without whom I would have been too scared to put the zine out <3 and really, I mean that. I know I don't say it much but it really does mean a lot to me when I say I'm doing stuff like that and you guys front for me, even if it is just in spirit.
